How the hints stay on the right day
Unlike Wordle's local-midnight rollover, the NYT Midi is released on a single New York schedule. This page calculates the currently released NYT puzzle date, requests that exact dated file from the verified feed, and checks the date inside the data before enabling hints or answers.
If the verified file has not arrived yet, the page stays unavailable instead of substituting yesterday's answers.
